Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Course
The Health Safety Institute, HSI, Basic Life Support (BLS) class is the level of care used for medical and healthcare professionals. This course is consistent with the 2020 ILCOR (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation) Guidelines. It is not the community level AEDCPRFA class, which we do offer, please inquire.
Topics: Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Secondary Cardiac Arrest, High-Performance CPR for Adult, Child, Infant, Rescue breath and use of Bag Valve Mask, Single and Multiple Providers, Airway Obstruction and use of the AED - Automated External Defibrillator. Successful class completion includes proficiency of written exam and hands-on demonstration.
Certification: Two (2) years. Student workbook included
Class Time: 2 hours; 90 minutes with Hybrid/Blended Learning option.
Class Minimum: 4 Class Maximum: 10
Age: Recommended for Adults ~ 16 years of age +
